Train Video - our new NW2 CN Train Engine - 06-16-12

So, as you know we are trying to stay true to what we see go by in our backyard on the CN track.   Saturday mornings we see these adorable mini engines go by.  If I ever catch them on the camera, I will post the real video here.

We were so excited to get our new little train, so here is a mini video I put together - don't worry, no one was hurt.  LOL

Another Trip to Winona Garden Railway to pick up a new NW2 CN Train Engine - 06-16-12

So, yesterday 06-16-12 we made a trip to our favorite G-Scale Train Store - Winona Garden Railway.

We had to pick our our new NW2 CN Train Engine.   We try and copy what we actually see go by on the live CN Line that backs onto our yard.

While Bob was inside talking to John (Store Owner) and setting up his Engine with his Remote System, I dashed outside and took some photos as Bob had brought along some 4 of our G-Scale Figures for some photo shoot (you know how much we love those).  Our figures featured today is one of our "Ladies of the Night"  and 3 freaked out people.  LOL!!!   Enjoy!

PS:  No G-Scale People / Animals were injured in these photos, actually, except for my four people I set up, I found the rest of them in the positions you see.  LOL   Afterwards, Bob fixed them so they were standing up.

And last but not least, I found this wonderful lighthouse at Walmart - it's solar and the light actually spins and it was the perfect size for G-Scale Land!!!  I'm so thrilled!!!

I have some video's to process and post, so that will be included in our  next blog entry.  :)

Night comes alive with LIGHT - 06-02-12

Back in February 2012, just before Bob's birthday in March, he received a package in the mail from his Uncle Ron & Aunt Kirsten - in it, it contained an outdoor lamp for our train set.   Our set wasn't wired, as we were only using solar lights from Canadian Tire to light up the set......   this gave us the excuse we needed to start wiring up the set to use regular electricity.

Over the past week, Bob was outside making changes to the set and you will see the following result.

We are soooooooooo excited and thrilled how the light he received we are now sourcing out more to place all over the brewery!!!!!

BIG THANKS SO UNCLE RON & AUNT KIRSTEN!!!!!!!!

Bob was also able to put lighting in the farm house, the train station, one of the lights at the end of the track & a signal light.

I'm thrilled to announce today was Winona Garden Railway's Open House today and we were able to purchase some more track at an awesome price, along with some other goodies INCLUDING another light to mimic FIRE.  They also had one for welding and now I wish I had grabbed that too as I have a fantastic idea!! heh heh heh.  If they still have it in a couple of weeks (when we go to pick up our newest train engine) I will scoop it up and you'll hopefully see some more fantastic piccies.   :)

We have also been busy this spring purchasing and planting more ground cover, but this spring has proved to be dry, so we have to be out nightly watering.   I'm craving a bigger pond for the layout and so wish we had more time in the day (and money) to take on more projects for it.  I'll take what we can get though.  :)

Enjoy these pics!!!
