Ring Around the Rosy.... 08-31-2010
Bob and I were in the kitchen prepping dinner - just something light, a little greek salad and a nice glass of red wine. Bob went into our diningroom to grab two wine glasses and came out looking stunned. He didn't look well at all and was holding on to the door frame saying "oh my, oh my" I thought something had happened to one of our kitties. :o( I asked "What's wrong???" and he kept uttering "oh my oh my". I walked past him and into the room and this is what I saw....
Somehow, the beautiful shelves that Bob had put up on the wall a week or two before had come undone from the wall, possibly the 2nd one falling on the first one which was holding BOTH our battery remote controlled engines, numerous rail cars, a boat, a lighthouse, glass smashed on the floor and landing on the $250.00 G-Scale train bridge we had bought and Bob had carefully glued together and is now in pieces.
Not sure how or why they fell - but we both felt sick to our stomachs.
Bob connected the batteries to each other engines and they sounds work, we still need to test them to see if they will move............. we will update another day, we are still both in shock.
We still haven't finished our outside layout as we have decided to move the location and start over - so this will probably be finished next year. We just pray our engines will still work - it took us a long time to save up for them. :o(

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - G-Scale Style
So, Bob had a lot of time on his hands apparently. LOL!!!!
You see, we went into a Giant Tiger store one day and he finds these little figures called GROW A GIRLFRIEND. Apparently they were all skin coloured and you throw these little things in water and they totally balloon in size (not sure what size, but a heck of a lot bigger than G-Scale). Bob got them home and discovered they would be the size of TEENAGE GIRLS in the G-Scale world. He grabbed my acrylic paints and got to work created two Girlies who just wanna have fun and yes, he did a photo shoot. LOL
