Old Pond Removed
Even before the train track completed it's circle around the layout there has been a pond in the centre. (Click here for photos)
We have had many adventures with the pond from Snappy the turtles visit. (Click here for photos) to this past summer's "Beach Day" with the girl canoeing on a very green pond. (Click here for photos)
We began to realize after 4 years we were no longer in love with the green, stinky, cesspool that our pond had become. With plans to put in a 40ft long flow creek with rapids and 3 waterfalls we decided to pull the pond once the frost had melted.
Though we have a lot of work ahead of us to make a new water feature at least now our layout doesn't smell of rotting leaves.
